奧克拉荷馬雷霆「雷帝」Kevin Durant因腳傷告假，「西河」Russell Westbrook再度扛起攻堅責任，狂飆45分，率隊102：91擊敗紐奧良鵜鶘。
Westbrook全場31投18中，以58.1%的高命中率轟下45分，生涯第6場飆破40分大關，45分則追平生涯最高紀錄，今天另有6籃板、6助攻。
「我只是試著找出讓我們保持競爭力的辦法，努力幫助球隊贏球。」Westbrook說：「我們必須在他們家裡帶走勝利，這是唯一也最重要的事。」
Durant因開刀缺席季初17場比賽，復出後仍打打停停，近5戰他又缺席4場，雷霆戰績3勝2敗，Westbrook平均攻下28.4分，本季平均則是24.9分。
談到Westbrook一肩扛起球隊的表現，雷霆總教練Scott Brooks表示：「Russell是我看過的所有球員中，競爭心最強烈的。」
「他當然有才華、有技巧，但最重要的是他的強心臟，與求勝渴望，這些素材成就了他。」Brooks說。
